The recent earthquakes and hurricanes on the east coast and the 10 year anniversary of 9-11 makes National Preparedness Month this year that more poignant.

Every family should create and be familiar with their family disaster plan, which includes an evacuation plan. You should also have an emergency supply kit for your home, office, and car. All families have the same basic requirements, but if your child has special needs you need to consider additional supplies they may require.
